According to this little article I found online, solar panel study and production dates all the way back to the 1880s. To me, this was very shocking considering how modern the entire concept of converting solar energy into electricity is. Looking back at this I've realized how far ahead we've come in terms of technology and how much better we've made solar panels. Based on this info, I have inferred that perhaps whatever we try to improve with this new solar concept, although very small, it will be something that in about 100 years people in the future will study.
