I began working on my memory box today, began by cutting the wood and sanding it and trying to actually build the box. Building it is a bit harder than I thought. I tried to drill the screws in but the wood wasn't at all stable. I thought about asking my dad to let me borrow some of his wood glue so I could built it with that instead. I also bought some school color paint in order to decorate the box once its actually finished. I look forward to completing this project in the coming days of the following week.

These are the plans I created for my memory box. Although the measurements aren't exact, this is my guide to make the box a reasonable size. I should be finding (or buying if I have to) some wood in order to cut it to these sizes for my box. I want to paint it our school colors which is purple and gold as well as add a paladin on the top (outside of the lid) of the box. The idea is to laser print the paladin unto the lid. More ideas will be added as time goes by. I'm looking forward to beginning this new project.

This week I'm working on coming up with a plan and measurements for a memory box I want to create for my memories of my 4 years in high school. My idea is to make it out of wood and then use acrylic paint to decorate it. I also want to maybe put a picture on the inside of the lid. The point of this project is to be able to show my kids 20-25 years from now what my high school experience was like. It'd be an even cooler story if I tell my children that I made the box myself. The inspiration for my memory box comes from the following model. However, it won't have hinges, instead it'll just have a lid that can be removed.
